IRB personnel nabbed for nexus with militant

IRB personnel, acting as militant for carrying out extortion, was arrested along with a demand letter of the militant group by the Manipur police commandos in a follow up action to nab cadres of KCP (MC)-Pangalba group.
In the evening of September 7, commando personnel of Imphal west district apprehended a cadre of the KCP (MC) Haobam Ingo Singh @ Guru (37) of Kabongbut village, Sanjenbam Imphal east district.
One demand letter of KCP (MC)-Pangalba was recovered from his possession, police said. The cadre disclosed that he joined the organisation in the month of May by the help of one Biju, who was identified to be IRB personnel of 1st IRB. He further disclosed that under the instruction of Bjiu, he had served extortion note to Laishram Kuber, Chongtham Manglemjao and Lairenmayum Rajen, all of Sanjenbam.
In the follow-up action Md Habibur Rahaman @ Biju (35) of Urup Mayai Leikai was arrested from Khongnang Ani Karak and a demand note of KCP (MC-Pangalba) and one identity card issued by 1st IRB (ID No. 109) were recovered from him.
Further Habibur disclosed that he was a rifleman of 1st IRB (no. 1194354) and had been actively working since January for the group and was nexus with the Islamuddin Khan @ MI Khan (self styled chairman of PULF-MI Khan) and presently working as finance in-charge of PULF of MI Khan.
