Rotary Club felicitates Rotaracts

Charter presentation of Rotaract Club Kohima was held Saturday evening at The Heritage conference hall Kohima with Kelhousithie Kire, IPS, DGP Nagaland and Rtd. Ajit Irom, Immediate Past District Governor as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
In his address, DGP Nagaland Kelhousithie Kire, IPS, lauded the Rotary Club for their commendable services to the community across the world.
Stating that the Charter Presentation of Rotaract Club Kohima was a “great day”, Kire also said the Rotaract were the arms and legs of the Rotary Club and being part of Rotaract, it would lead a person to live a good way of life and also refresh oneself to be a good Christian .
He also wished Rotaract Club the very best in the journey ahead in the service of humanity.
The chief guest also handed over certificates and pins to following Rotaracts – Kevichatha Kire, president, Lima Toshi, secretary, Thejakielie Zuyie, vice president, Neiphreno Irene Kuotsu, joint secretary, Vilakuolie Mere, treasurer and the members Khriezovotuo Suokhrie, Kekhrieselhou Pienyii, Vitseizolie Soriinuo, Ketoulhou Kense,Khriekethozo Yhome, Atoni K Achumi, Lily Phinyo, Azine Vezivolu, Kevinuorhe Kire, Ruvuolezo Suokhire, Menguseii Suokhrie, John Tep, Mhalesielie Rutsa, Seyiesilie Mor, Ketoukhrietuo Kesiezie, Seyiekielie Kire, Alemkala Jamir, Asa Khazo, Ruokuoneinuo Regina.
In his address guest of honour, Rtd. Ajit Irom, Immediate Past District Governor said Rotary Club recognized the members of Rotaract Club as part of the international fraternity in the Rotary.
He also said the Rotaract Club, the younger lot have been making attempts to do something for the community was founded in the 1968 in North Carolina and later spread to spread to different parts of the world.
Rtd. Ajit Irom also called upon all to give a concerted effort to eradicate polio from the country and informed that India was one of the four countries among Pakistan, Afghanistan, India and Nigeria (PAIN) were polio has badly crippled the life of children. He said that it was duty of each and everyone to educate and create awareness to prevent polio at the same time thanked the Rotary Club Kohima for donating a Hearse to the NHAK.
On the occasion, speeches were also delivered by Rts. Dr. Toshivi Sema Keditsu, Rotary President, Rts. Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu , Rotaract Committee Chairman (RCC) and Kevichatha Kire, President Rotaract Cub. Earlier the invocation prayer was given by Mezhiizolie Meyase, Asst. Pastor, Nagabazar Baptist Church, welcome address by Neiphreno Kuotsu and vote of thanks by Thejakeilie Zuyie.
