A one-day health camp was held in Sangphur village on September 4 by a medical team was led by Tuensang deputy CMO Dr. Thangoi Lam and district tuberculosis officer (DTO) Dr. Moa and assisted by two nurses and a lab technician. Altogether 302 villagers were treated for various ailments including common cough and cold, injuries and other diseases prevalent in the village.
They were also distributed free medicines and given advice for basic healthcare. Earlier, while interacting with the villagers, deputy CMO, Dr. Thangoi and DTO Dr. Moa urged them to maintain cleanliness in order to prevent diseases in the village.
Meanwhile, the village chairman, head GB and members expressed gratitude to the team for visiting the village and treating the villagers despite the poor road conditions.
