Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) has extended fullest support to the meeting of the highest level leadership of the signatories of the “Covenant of Reconciliation” under the initiative of the FNR. CPO president, Sovenyi said it was praying for the courage of all leaders to do what was right and what the people expected from them. CPO also expressed deep gratitude to the Christian communities across the world and also all fellow Naga Christians for prayerfully remembering the Naga people on September 12. CPO said that the Chakhesangs as one of the Naga tribes, who too has its own share of sacrifices, pains and sufferings, have been closely following the initiatives of the FNR and extending support and co-operation whenever possible. CPO said it would continue to support the idea, “Naga people must unitedly and truthfully persuade the highest level of leadership of the Naga Political groups to shed their differences, forgive one another and to reconcile on the basis of the historical and political rights of the Nagas.”
