‘Nagas Got Talent’ on local cable channels
DIMAPUR: ‘Nagas Got Talent’ first elimination round held at IMC hall on September 8 would be telecast from September 15 onwards on City Cable at 5pm, and Global Chapter at 7p.m.
ENWO condemns murder
KOHIMA: Eastern Nagaland Women Organization (ENWO) has condemned the murder of Rutsangchi by her husband Phungkhumong Khiamniungan besides causing serious injuries to others in Thonoknyu. The ENPO, in a press release, expressed shock over the “brutal crime” committed by a retired assistant commandant. While acknowledging the police for timely action in arresting the culprit, the ENPO also appealed the authority to award befitting punishment to the culprit. The ENPO further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
PPUK get together
KOHIMA: The annual get together cum general election of Poumai Public Union Kohima (PPUK) will be held on October 2 at 10 am at Poumai Catholic Community Hall, Naga Bazaar Kohima. Ashipri Zho, speaker PMM and C.D. John, ex-president PPUK will exhort the gathering.

LDA job applicants notified
KOHIMA: All job applicants who had applied for the post of LDA cum computer assistant in Women Development department and Controller of Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection Nagaland have been notified to retrieve their applications from the department offices from September 15-20 during office hours on working days and submit it to office of P&AR at civil secretariat.
Bereaved family members clarify
DIMAPUR: Clarifying to a press statement published in this local daily on September 10 under the caption ‘Bereaved family members of late Rutsangshe demand justice’, the deceased’s family members and relatives clarified that the name of the clan should read as Bhatai Clan (Sangnguhliu) instead of Bhakai and the name Kushe should read as Kiusushe.

NCRC Sumi Youth jubilee committee meet
DIMAPUR: All NCRC Sumi youth silver jubilee committee’s, sub-committee’s, advisors, youth secretary and executive office bearers that a meeting has been convened on September 18, 10 am at its banker’s residence, Dimapur. Food & civil supplies dept informs
DIMAPUR: Department of food & civil supplies has informed that AAY food grains and annapurna rice for August and September for Dimapur district have been released. Beneficiaries have been requested to collect the same from respective fair-price shops and village authorities from September 23 onwards on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays.
AYO to tour Chakhro area
DIMAPUR: As part of its “year of social networking”, Angami Youth Organization (AYO) would be touring Chakhro area and subsequently hold a meeting on September 18, 11am at Chakhro Public Organization hall Chumukedima. AYO has informed that Centre for NE Studies & Research trustee and NBCC peace committee member Niketu Iralu will be addressing the meet as speaker. All Angami villages/colonies in Chakhro area have been requested to delegate at least 10 members each to attend the meeting.
Kma CMO review meeting
KOHIMA: Monthly review meeting of Chief Medical Officer Kohima was held on September 9 at CMO conference hall. Important topics discussed during the meeting included reporting, malaria, use of tracker bags, eligible couple survey, execution of work etc. Medical officers of Zhadima PHC and Mezoma PHC gave presentation on previous years’ performances till date. In the next review meeting, MOs of Chunlikha and Kimipfuphe PHCs will give presentations.
IMFL seized from check gate in Longleng
DIMAPUR: During a routine checking of vehicles conducted on September 13 between Longleng and Dikhur River near Orangkong check gate an assorted IMFL of 76 bottles of rum and 8 bottles of beer were seized from a vehicle bearing Reg. No NL-07 B-0121. Longleng police in this connection arrested a person identified as Amar Das son of Late. Noni Das of Noagoan (Assam). A case has been registered at Longleng Police Station vide Case No 0019-10 under section 44 NLTP Act dated 14-09-2010.
Labour department informs
DIMAPUR: The director of labour has informed all applicants to the post of LDA-cum-computer assistant in the labour department to immediately withdraw their application from the directorate office during office hour and submit the applications forms to P & AR department.
DIS Tseminyu informs
KOHIMA: DIS Tseminyu has notified all heads of government institutions under the establishment of DIS Tseminyu to submit beneficiary register of mid-day meal scheme of the office of DIS on or before September 21.
