Murder on church worker condemned

Naga Council has expressed shock at the gruesome murder of Vetsüzo Veyie of Thipuzu village by unidentified miscreants on September 7 at 4th Mile, Dimapur. The council described Vetsüzo was well known as a peaceful citizen and a servant of God working in the capacity as secretary of Toulazou Baptist Church and asserted that it was a despicable murder which could be committed only by insane beings and such crime had no place in Naga society.
Condemning the heinous crime, the council also appealed to administration and police to give full effort in the investigation and award stringent punishment to the culprits. Naga Council further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and relatives.
CBCC: Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) has condemned the heinous crime perpetrated on Vetsuzo Veyie, a dedicated Church worker who served as Church secretary of Chakhesang Baptist Church, Toulazouma on September 8 at 4th Mile, Dimapur.
The council also appealed the authority to bring to book whoever was responsible for the barbaric act as per law of the land. Meanwhile, the council conveyed its condolences to bereaved family members and remembered Veyie’s sacrificial works and contributions to the Church ministry and also prayed that departed soul rest in peace.
Enwo: astern Nagaland Women Organization (ENWO) has condemned the murder of Rutsangchi by her husband Phungkhumong Khiamniungan besides causing serious injuries to others in Thonoknyu.
ENWO, in a press release expressed shock over “brutal crime” committed by a retired assistant commandant. While acknowledging the police for timely action in arresting the culprit, ENWO also appealed to the authority to award befitting punishment to the culprit. ENWO further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
