ATAN general meeting
DIMAPUR: All registered members of ATAN have been informed to compulsorily attend the general meeting on September 20 at 3 pm at ISBT Purana Bazar, Dimapur.
Meanwhile, all registered members have been directed to personally bring and submit `500 each. ATAN executives informed that there would be no grace period for submission of fee and failure to pay and attend the meeting would be done at their own risk. Fake qualification certificate holders have been advised to abstain from the meeting, added ATAN executives.
Governor to grace ‘investor meet’
DIMAPUR: In commemoration of ‘World Bamboo Day’, Nagaland Governor, Nikhil Kumar will grace the ‘investor meet’ as chief guest on September 17 at the Heritage Bamboo Hall, Kisama. Minister for Industries and PHE, Government of Mizoram, S. Hiato would be guest of Honour.
KSK emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Kulolau Sukomi Kukhakulu (KSK) has convened an emergency meeting on September 18, 3.30 pm at the residence of its banker, Sukomi, Ghutoi at Padumpukhuri Dimapur. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
SOUDA meeting
DIMAPUR: Shena Old union Dimapur area (SOUDA) has convened a meeting on September 18, 10 am at the residence of G. Kits united colony (half Nagarjan) Dimapur. All office bearers, executives, officers and elders have been requested to attend the meeting.
LSU meeting
DIMAPUR: Lazami Student Union (LSU) has convened a meeting on September 25, 9 am at the residence of Axhi Phucho, Naga bazaar colony, Kohima. All union executives and union advisors have been requested to attend the meeting.
ENLSU freshers meet
DIMAPUR: The 1st freshers meet cum general session of Eastern Naga Law Student Union (ENLSU) would be held on September 18, 10 am at Red Cross conference hall with C. L John MLA, chairman MARCOFED as chief guest. All members have been requested to attend the function, failing which a fine of Rs 100 would be imposed.
NLSF emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Law Student Federation (NLSF) has convened an emergency executive meeting on September 18, 10.30 am at City law college, Dimapur. All executive council, federal assembly officials and former leaders have been requested to attend the meeting.
HASSU executive meeting
DIMAPUR: Executive meeting of Highway Area Sumi Student Union (HASSU) has been convened on September 18, 9 am at its union office. All executives have been requested to attend the meeting.
DEO informs CEAF scholarship applicants
DIMAPUR: District Education Officer (DEO), Dimapur has informed all applicants of CEAF scholarship that exam would be held on September 25, 10 am at GHSS Dimapur as the centre of examination. Admit cards can be collect from the office during office hours.
Construction of ethnic huts
DIMAPUR: A meeting in connection to construction of ethnic huts (tribal huts) in agriculture expo site Dimapur has been convened on September 20, 11 am at NSAMB conference hall 4 mile opposite to central Jail Dimapur. All presidents, secretaries and representatives of the tribal of Nagaland have been requested to attend the meeting.
Refresher course for Hindi teachers
Dimapur: A refresher course of government Hindi teachers serving in GPS, GMS and private school under establishment of DIS Mokokchung would be held from September 27 to October 1 at EBRC hall Mokokchung. The resource persons would be Prof A K Mishra, EFL University Shillong, S N Yadev H/T (TOTs), Queen Mary HSSS Mokokchung and B P Philip, programme coordinator, Hindi Cell, SCERT. Director of SCERT has requested DIS Mokokchung to depute all Hindi teachers to attend the training.
NPF youth wing meeting
DIMAPUR: The Naga peoples’ Front (NPF) youth wing Dimapur division has convened a meeting on September 18, 10 am at division office Midland Dimapur. All office bearers of Dimapur division and five assembly constituency president/ secretary under Dimapur division have been requested to attend the meeting.
NFCSFSA emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Nagaland food & civil supplies field staff association (NFCSFSA) has convened an emergency meeting on September 19, 9 am at Crown hotel conference hall, K E complex, Nagarjan junction Dimapur to discuss important issues pertaining to the department. All the members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Training on blind registry
DIMAPUR: District Nodal officer NPCB Peren, has informed all ASHAs in Peren and Tening blocks that training on blind registry would be conducted on September 23, 10.30 am at Peren town woman hall, under national program for control of blindness (NPCB). The ASHA coordinators have been requested to inform all ASHAs under their respective block and attend the training.
Scholarship for IGNOU students
DIMAPUR: All eligible IGNOU students for scholarship for the session 2010-11 have been informed to open normal or no frills, nil account balance in any nationalize bank and submit the details of bank account number, name of the bank and branch to the regional centre on or before September 24.
Mr & Miss Tokhu Emong, Kohima
DIMAPUR: Kyong Naga Cultural Society, Kohima will be organizing its 3rd Mr& Miss Tokhu Emong, Kohima on October 30 as part of it venture in preserving and promoting the Lotha Naga culture. Interested Lotha youths permanently or temporarily residing in and around Kohima have been invited to participate in the event. ‘English hub’ for teachers
DIMAPUR: Dimensions - School of Phonetics and Spoken English will be organizing free ‘English Hub’ for teachers on September 25. Interested teachers have been informed to contact the centre head at Dimensions Naharbari Centre, opposite HP petrol station or Dimensions Centre, circular road, Dimapur or Dimensions centre Wokha.
Gospel CD ‘Kerhei Dzülüo’ released
DIMAPUR: In an effort to promote gospel hymnals and to glorify God, a group of musical artistes under the name “Ketshe Kro” released its CD Album, with ten common hymnals in ‘Tenyidie’ entitled “Kerhei Dzülüo”. The CD was officially released by Rev. Hünietso Chiero at the Chakhesang Mission Centre Church, T. Chikri, Pfütsero on September 12. The artistes include Kotele Mero, Neilhoute-u Rhi, Etholülü Khamo, Poyo Tünyi, Vikuo Rhi and Velacüyi Khamo. The CD album was produced and recorded at Clef Ensemble, Ser’s bazaar, Midland, Kohima.
Civil defence instructor course
DIMAPUR: A ten-day civil defence instructor course for inspectors and sub-inspectors was conducted at Central Training Institute from September 7 to 16. Director general police, civil defence and prison, O. Alem IPS encouraged the officers to initiate training for the public in their respective districts as they were the first responders in disaster situation. The objective of the course was to train officers who in turn would train others. Resource persons of the training included Vikiho K. Sema, deputy controller, civl defence, Zunheboto, Dr. Thingtimla Yim, medical officer, CTI and a team of central training institute instructors.
