ASER survey to take off in state

The Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) facilitated by Pratham will take off from Monday simultaneously in districts across the state. It may be mentioned that ASER survey is often referred to by central and state governments for formulating various educational plans and policies.
ASER, a citizens’ report card on the status of education, will also be conducted across 30 villages in Dimapur. Informing about the developments, Sanen, a mater trainer said that around 600 household will be surveyed and the report will be completed by this month end and sent to Delhi.
He informed that a total of number of 13 volunteers were undergoing two days training along coupled with field visits to take survey of government schools.
It may be added that the survey will be taken for children between the group of 5-15 years on mathematical and reading ability.
Established in 1994 to provide education to the children in the slums of Mumbai city, Pratham is the largest non governmental organisation working to provide quality education to the underprivileged children of India.
The Pratham team comprises educationists, development professionals, media personnel, corporates, workers, activists, Ph.Ds, MBAs, CAs, civil servants, bankers, corporate professionals, consultants, who all bring their experiences and perspectives to the organization and are unified by the common vision of improving the future of children.
