ENSU, PCC freshers meet
DIMAPUR: Eastern Nagaland student union of public college of commerce (ENSU, PCC) would be organizing a freshers meet cum social parting on October 13, 10 am at Noune resort, Seithekiema, Dimapur. All students of ENSU, PCC have been requested to reach the college premises by 7am.
PVSU felicitation program
DIMAPUR: The Pongidong village student union (PVSU) would be organizing a felicitation programme for Longasen J Ezung EAC (NPSC) from Pongidong village on October 15, at 9 am at the village community hall. All students, former office bearers, Ekhung, hohos, Khumshums, senior leaders, elders and public have been invited to attend the programme.
Longsa Catholic Jubilee committee meet
Dimapur: A meeting for the Longsa Catholic golden jubilee committee members will be held at Longsa Catholic Church guest house on October 16 at 4 pm. Chonthungo Anthony Ezung, general secretary jubilee committee has members of various committees to attend the meeting without fail as the meet would deliberate on important issues related to the forthcoming golden jubilee.
NU declares 1st and 3rd semester result
DIMAPUR: The Nagaland University has declared the provisional results of M. Sc Zoology, M. Sc Chemistry, M.A English held in April 2010 and M. Sc Geology held in May 2010, M.A Tenyidie 1st and 3rd semester exam held in the month of June.
NSDYO inform villages
DIMAPUR: Nuiland sub-division youth organization (NSDYO) has informed all villages under Nuiland sub-division to send one youth representative below 40 years to Nuiland sub-division youth organization before November 10 through respective area in-charge.
MGMHSS silver jubilee
DIMAPUR: MGM Higher Secondary School (MGMHSS) Dimapur would be celebrating its silver jubilee on October 13, 9 am at the school premises. Minister for school education & SCERT Nyeiwang Konyak and MLA, K. L. Chishi would grace the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour respectively, while MGMHSS president & arch bishop Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius would preside over the function.
Free cataract IOL at Zunheboto
DIMAPUR: Zunheboto district health society would be conducting free cataract IOL operation from October 25-29 at HM district hospital Zunheboto, in commemoration of world sight day which falls on October 14. Cataract blind patients have been informed to avail the opportunity.

DIMAPUR: A consultative meeting of NPF Wokha division has been convened on October 19, 10 am at the office conference hall. VAT regd. dealers asked to submit PAN
DIMAPUR: VAT registered dealers under Nagaland Value Added Tax Act 2005 have been informed to submit their Permanent Account Number (PAN) to office of assistant commissioner of taxes (ACT), Dimapur zone for incorporation in VAT registration certificate. This was informed in a press release issued by ACT Dimapur zone Tokhevi Sema.

DC Mon informs on ration card
DIMAPUR: Deputy commissioner, Mon has informed that the department of food and civil supply, Mon would issue Above Poverty Line (APL) ration card to the genuine and deserving employees. All government employees serving under different departments have been asked to collect the application form for issue of ration card after a payment of `2 per application form and `13 per ration card from the office of assistant director, food and civil supplies, Mon during office hour.
DC Mon informs
DIMAPUR: In view of conduct of Summary Revision of Electoral with January 1, 2011 as qualifying date, the DC & district election officer Mon has fixed detail dates for each stages of revision. The detail date for draft publication of rolls would be on October 30; period for filling of claims and objections from October 30 to November 23; reading of relevant part/section of photo electoral rolls in Gram Sabha/local bodies and RWA meeting etc and verification of names on November 6 and 9; special campaign dates with booth leveling agents of political parties for receiving claims and objections on November 7, 13 and 21; disposal of claims and objections by December 23; updating database, merging of photographs, updating control tables and preparation and printing of supplementary list from December 23 to January 3, 2011; and final publication of electoral rolls on January 5, 2011.
Sensitization programme on MDM
KOHIMA: A one day sensitization programme on mid day meal scheme was conducted on October 5 at EBRC hall Pughoboto. Pughoboto DIS, V. Shihoto Zhimo, while delivering the keynote address, said MDM scheme was to encourage children to have free meal while also achieving compulsory education. He called upon the head teacher, VECs, teacher in-charge to cooperate in implementing and abiding by the objectives of MDM scheme. Vihoto and Bohoto, coordinator and office assistant spoke on role of VEC’s in monitoring and delivering transparency and judicious management of the scheme. The programme was attended by VEC chairman/head teacher and teacher in-charge, while the programme was chaired by SIS (hq) Levi.
