In an attempt to uplift the downtrodden families, the Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur (LBCD) provided financial aid of `15000 each to six families during a function held at Lotha Baptist Church, Dimapur on Monday.
Exhorting the beneficiaries, Yanbemo, associate pastor, LBCD who is also convener of the project, urged the beneficiaries to use the funds provided by the Church judiciously instead of spending it gratuitously.
He said the funds provided by the Church should be used appropriately and to build a lasting bond with God who is the giver of everything. Rev. K. Chumben Kyong, senior associate pastor, quoting the parable of talents from the gospel of Mathew asked the families to emulate the first three persons and multiply with the funds received from the Church. He also urged the beneficiaries to start afresh in seeking God.
The financial aid was given away by Thungdemo Mozhui, proprietor of Wondang Ki.
