Phor council clarifies
KOHIMA: With regard to a news item “GPRN/NSCN assaults” published on October 8 on a misunderstanding between the youth and GPRN/NSCN cadres at Phor village, the Phor Village Council has clarified that the village authority with Phor Social Action Committee have settled and compromised the matter with both sides of the party. Therefore, the council has requested any organization or body to contact the village authority before publishing any article on the incident.
KOHIMA: The 1st general conference of the All Nagaland Industrial Training Institute Teaching Staff Association (ANITITSA) will be held on October 15 at 11am at Hotel Japfü. Additional director, employment and craftsmen training, M. Sangtam will be the chief guest while Er. Vipulhou Lhoungu, deputy director of technical education will be the resource person.
YR&S dept competition
KOHIMA: The department of Youth Resources and Sports Kohima will conduct competitions on folk song, folk dance, guitar recital and elocution on October 30. The department has invited interested persons to contact or collect forms from the Youth Resources Office Kohima, opposite SCERT near Government High School Kohima. Prize money will be awarded to winners.
IRCSWD annual meet
DIMAPUR: Indian Red Cross Society Wokha district (IRCSWD) has convened an annual general meeting on October 14, 10 am at LTC hall. Y Patton, parliamentary secretary, border affairs, geology & mining, irrigation & flood control government of Nagaland would be the chief guest. IRCS complex foundation stone would be inaugurated at 9 am by the chief guest. All the members of IRCSWD branch have been requested to attend the function.
DIMAPUR: Youth association Wokha district (YAWD) has informed all 1st division holders of class X, HSSLC, BA, B.Com, B. Sc (arts, science and commerce) to collect their merit certificate during the forth coming 1st general conference cum collegiate meet on October 23 at auditorium hall Don Bosco higher secondary school Wokha.
DDGBA emergency meet
DIMAPUR: Dimapur district GB’s (DDGBA) association has convened an emergency executive meeting on October 12, 10 am at the residence of M Y Ngullie, president. All district executive members have been requested to attend the meeting. The DDGBA meanwhile conducted an executive meeting on October 11 at the residence of M Y Ngullie, president and resolved that Nuiland unit-25 GBs delegates, Kuhuboto unit-20 GBs delegates, Dhansiripar unit-15 GBs delegates, Medziphema-15 GBs delegates, Chumukedima-25 GBs delegates and Dimapur sadar-100 GBs attend the Nagaland GBs federation general session on October 14, 9am at town hall Dimapur. All unit chairman and secretary have been requested to arrange as discussed in the meeting.
