Training on rabi crops and livestock management

One day programme to meet the expert cum training on rabi crops and livestock management was conducted by KVK Dimapur, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre, Jharnapani, organized by Mhonka Farmers club on October 7 at Community Hall, Domokhia village, Dimapur.
Chairperson, branch manager SBI, Purana Bazaar Branch, Dimapur, highlighted the farmers on Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and Credit linkage with the bank.
At the training, Dr. Anamika Sharma, programme coordinator, KVK Dimapur spoke on nursery raising and its management on winter vegetables, H.D Singh (SMS Horticulture) deliberated on cultivation practices of pea and beans in winter, Z. James Kikon (SMS Soil Science) emphasized on soil and nutrient management in rabi crops, Kolom Rabi (SMS Plant Breeding) spoke on crop management of seed production techniques in rabi crops followed by pest and diseases management on rabi vegetables by Saurabh Sarma, Prog. Asst. (Plant Protection).
Dr. Ebibeni Ngullie (SMS Animal Science) enlightened the farmers on livestock management and its benefits.
A total of 68 farmers attended the training programme.
Before closing the programme, farmers shared their problems which were solved by KVK officials.
