PCF welcomes spirit of brotherhood

Phek Collegiate Forum (PCF) has appreciated the exemplary spirit of brotherhood shown to the guilty driver and vehicle owner of Scorpio SUV, both members of Phek village by family members of the deceased, late Atovi Kiho, son of late Pukhavi Kiho, who was killed in an accident on October 4 evening near Mezhur Higher Secondary School foot-bridge.
According to Phek Collegiate Forum president, Kunesa Vero and general secretary, Kuvehu Soho, the family members of the deceased in a consultative meeting with family members of the erring driver on October 13 at Hotel Fira, Kohima, willingly accepted the apologies of the guilty party and extended forgiveness.
PCF acknowledged the matured and exemplary gesture shown by family members of late Atovi Kiho to the guilty driver and expressed hope that the spirit of forgiveness and brotherhood shown by late Atovi’s family members would serve as a benchmark in bridging differences among Nagas in days to come.
While expressing deepest regrets for the grief and sorrow caused to the family members, friends and relatives of late Atovi Kiho, PCF also conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members.
PCF also appreciated the benevolent gesture shown by Khutozhe Kiho, husband of the injured Hetoli Kiho by forgiving the erring driver and the vehicle in true Christian spirit and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
The PCF has also expressed its gratitude to Usutomi Union and Cultural Club Kohima, Usutomi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu, Usutomi Youth Organization and all members of Usutomi villagers for supporting and upholding true Christian spirit.
