Attempted rape; CRPF man held

A CRPF constable was reportedly arrested on charges of attempted rape upon two nuns at Sechu (Zubza) in the wee hours of October 17. According to police, the accused identified as one N.Saravanan, hailing from Tamil Nadu, had gone to the Pentecostal Church, Zubza where two nuns were looking after the Church. The accused reportedly took off his uniform and went inside purportedly to commit the crime. But, as one of the nuns cried for help, the accused fled the scene leaving behind his uniform, which later led to the discovery of his identity and subsequent arrest. Following the incident, the authority of the CRPF reportedly handed over the erring jawan to South police station. A case has been registered with South police station. Correspondent
