A team of juveniles believed to be involved in robbery at the ongoing 11th NSF Martyr’s Memorial Trophy, at local ground Kohima were busted on Monday after the ring leader of the gang, a student of class VII was caught red handed.
The breakthrough came after the ring leader was caught red handed with the help of CCTV monitored by ASU officials, while he was attempting to steal cash and other articles at around 3.30 pm, Monday from the player’s dressing room.
ASU official on witnessing the burglary rushed to the dressing room and apprehended the boy red handed.
Following interrogation and confession of the juvenile age around 12 years, four other accomplices’ were also apprehended by North Police Station personnel along with ASU members.
Meanwhile, North Police Station was informed about the matter and took the juvenile into their custody.
It may be mentioned that earlier there had been complaints of missing articles such mobile handsets, sports kits and cash belonging to players from the dressing room at ongoing 11th NSF Martyr’s Memorial Trophy, organized by Angami Students Union (ASU), at local ground Kohima. Much thanks to the CCTV, the organizers have finally managed to put an end to the mystery.
