Nagaland chief secretary Lalthara Wednesday assured CANSSEA that he would look into their demands with all sincerity.
Central office bearers of CANSSEA today submitted a three-point memorandum to the state chief secretary and held a threadbare meeting.
According to CANSSEA president Dr. K. David Sema and general secretary Vekho Vero, the association has demanded for the release of two DAs to state employees @ 8% and 10% of basic pay from January 1 and July 1, 2010. CANSSEA said it was over due for the state government to grant of two DAs to its employees.
Pointing out that central government has already granted two DAs to its employees, the CANSSEA said state government should give entitlements to its employees at appropriate times like central government. In the representation, the CANSSEA also pressed demands of ad hoc teachers (appointed against sanctioned post) who were still drawing under the previous RoP with a basic pay of Rs. 1550-3100.
Stating that even with the implementation of 6th RoP, this group of teachers would be drawing Rs.4000-5000, less than their own peons and chowkidars, working under them, the association demanded the government to grant 6th RoP without any arrears. On provisional employees of PWD who were denied IPS under ROP 2010, the CANSSEA said these employees were employed against the regular vacancies and had been enjoying all facilities granted to regular employees including 5th RoP.
Further, in support of compassionate appointment complaint raised by 2007 batch of LDA, the CANSSEA urged government to formulate policy whereby compassionate appointees could also be promoted.
