Computer course for civilians

The fourth batch of students from Medziphima sub division got their certificate in computer application after successfully completing a 16 weeks course.
A total of 17 students attended the course, out of which, 15 were girls.
All 15 students were awarded by Commandant in a function at the computer training centre which was established at 20 Assam Rifles, Ghaspani in November last year.
The computer training centre is affiliated with the directorate of technical education, government of Nagaland and has the most modern facilities with 10 computer terminals with internet facility and ergonomically comfortable furniture where 20 students can be trained in each batch.
The fifth batch of 34 students has also commenced the training, of which, 21 are girls.
Interacting informally after the ceremony Kimneilhai Singson who topped the course stated it was the first time ever that such facility has been extended for free to the population and would go a long way in providing opportunities to the local youth in becoming self reliant and wean them away from insurgency while integrating them with the uniformed people.
