Kma residents directed to chain animals

KOHIMA: Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has directed all citizens within its jurisdiction to chain their animals like cows, dogs, pigs, horse etc., within seven days from the date of issue of this notification. The council cautioned that action would be taken upon without any intimation to the owners if any of the animals were found loitering in public places, streets. The notification has been issued in the interest of public safety and to maintain good hygienic condition within Kohima city, KMC notification added.
Pensioners asked to produce ID card

DIMAPUR: With the increasing number of bogus drawal of money including ghost pensioners, Nagaland Pensioners Association (NPA) has informed pensioners, family pensioners to submit life certificate along with photo copy of ID card ‘D’ duly renewed up to December 31 while drawing pension. NPA secretary S. Daikho has informed all pension disbursing authorities like treasury officers, bank managers, SBI and other nationalised bank managers to extend cooperation and to check whether pensioners have produced ID card ‘D’ duly renewed while drawing pension. NPA further informed that submission of life certificate is due in the month of November.
NVC bans fishing, hunting, jungle burning

DIMAPUR: Nihokhu village council (NVC), as resolved in its meeting held on January 16, 2010, has enforced blanket ban on fishing, hunting of all kinds (including shooting of migratory birds) and burning of forest and jungle inside the jurisdiction of Nihokhu village. The NVC also warned against shooting of migratory birds that arrives in the area during winter season.
Chairman of Nihokhu village council, Kakheho Zhimomi stated that in the past, there have been incidents of theft, robbery, burglary, rape of farmer girls, damage to properties committed by people/hunters who come to the farms and fields of Nihokhu village in the pretext of shooting migratory birds. Therefore the NVC warned all concerned not to commit such crime inside the jurisdiction of NVC. Anyone found violating above mentioned directive of the council will be dealt strictly with heavy fine imposed on them, stated NVC.
Trg for officers on electoral rolls in Kohima

DIMAPUR: Training class for the forthcoming special summary revision of electoral rolls 2011has been scheduled on October 28, 9am at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima.
Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Kohima, Bei-u Angami through an official bulletin, informed all administrative officers/supervisory officers and BLOs of Kohima district to attend the training reminding that conduct of elections or revision of electoral rolls, rules, orders, directives of the election commission of India keeps changing.

Dimapur administration lauded
DIMAPUR: Members of Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association (NMDA) has lauded the action taken by SP Dimapur Zekotso Mero and DC Dimapur Maongwati Aier for restoring the old traffic regulation particularly along Nyamo Lotha road and Church road. NMDA further expressed hope that the district authorities would take such decisions keeping in view of the public interest and business community of Dimapur in future.
DSO Peren inform societies
DIMAPUR: District statistical officer (DSO) Peren has informed all the non-profit institution (registered societies) president, chairman and secretaries to report and register the societies on October 25-26 with account at district statistical office, Peren.
ERBCF 19 annual conference
DIMAPUR: Englan range Baptist churches fellowship (ERBCF) would conduct its 19th annual conference on October 30-31 at Englan Baptist Church with the theme ‘Duties of a Christian in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation’ Phil 2:15.
BYFD combine service
DIMAPUR: Baptist youth fellowship Dimapur (BYFD) would be conducting its combined service on October 24, 3 pm at Sangtam Baptist church, near SM College, Duncan. The programme would be chaired by Hukali Yeptho and the speaker would be Robert Kikon.
CANSSEA joint meeting
DIMAPUR: Confederation all Nagaland state service employees association (CANSSEA), president and the team has convened a joint meeting with Dimapur district unit CANSSEA on October 25, 11 am at the conference hall of directorate geology and mining, near DC office Dimapur to discuss important matters related to CANSSEA. All head of departments and head offices located within Dimapur district have been requested to send two (2) representatives to attend the meeting.

DIMAPUR: Leshemi student union (LSU) has informed all well wishers to contribute articles for Leshemi student union golden jubilee souvenir before November 10 or submit it to souvenir committee and executives.
