Respect declaration of 3rd Naga People’s Convention: TFO

A joint meeting of Tangkhul Frontal’s Organisation (TFO) was held on October 23 at TNL office. The meeting was held pertaining to non-adherence of directives given by TKS and TNL not to invite any representatives of the communal government of Manipur during its sports meet cum general conference 2010.
At the meeting, the house unanimously supported the actions initiated by TNL in enforcing necessary actions against the office bearers of Tangkhul Katamnao Long, Imphal (TKLI) for defying the 3rd Naga people’s convention declaration adopted on July 1at Tahamzam.
A press release issued by Solomon Ningshen, president, Tangkhul Naga Long stated the joint meeting condemned the irresponsible act of undermining and defaming the will and aspirations of Naga People by the office bearers thereby bringing “irreparable shame and disgrace” to Tangkhul community in particular and Naga Nation in general “for their personal and vested interests”.
Solomon Ningshen further informed that TNL decided to exercise authority and that present TKLI executive council for the tenure 2010 – 11 has been dissolved with immediate effect from October 23 to safeguard the interest of the Naga nation.
Assembly affairs of TKLI has therefore been directed to convene a general body meeting at the earliest for preparation and conduct of fresh election for the TKLI executive council for the tenure 2010-11 and directed TKS to supervise and monitor the affairs of the TKLI in co-ordination with TKLI assembly affairs, till fresh election was held.
The present TKLI executive council has been barred from contesting in the forth coming election and TNL also directed all organisation formed by the Tangkhul community to adhere, honour and respect the declaration of the 3rd Naga People’s Convention.
