Shurhozelie exhorts KVC new team

Minister for urban development and higher education Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu on Saturday called upon younger generation to learn good moral values from the older generation.
Exhorting the new team of office bearers of Kohima Village Council (KVC) the minister urged KVC to frame strict guidelines especially on land holding system and further suggested that Kohima village council come out with demarcated village land jurisdiction.
The KVC announced its new team of office bearers for the tenure 2010-2015.
The new team included Vilhouzhalie Dziivichii – chairman, Neivor Rutsa and Helievio Solo, both vice presidents, Razoupfhelie Kire- general secretary, Zeneizo Rutsa- treasurer, Neisevituo Sorhie – press secretary, Khrielie Keretsu- property secretary and Neiphreo Solo –joint secretary.
Addressing the gathering at KVC hall, newly appointed KVC Chairman Vilhouzhalie Dziivichii thanked all denizens of Kohima village for reposing faith in him and assured that his team would give their best and work for the development and welfare of the Kohima village.
The chairman also revealed that a plan would be initiated and constitution of the Kohima Village Council would be brought up for which he sought help from all citizens in the days ahead.
Earlier the names of new office bearers of KVC were announced by nomination committee Meguo-o Mechiilho and the new team was blessed upon with a prayer by Dr. Satuo Sekhose.
During the function, outgoing office bearers Neisakhotuo Solo, general secretary, Moselie Angami, treasurer and Viu Belho VDD secretary presented their brief reports, while the function was chaired by Atuolie Mepfhii-o, invocation prayer by Medochiilie Pienyii, associate pastor, BRC, special numbers by Liviko Khedi Baptist Church and Reibou Cultural Society, Kohima village.
