Drawing attention to recent allegations leveled against KDCC president by some individuals on the issue of show-cause notice to four KDCC members, NPCC on Sunday asserted that KDDC president was authorized to take disciplinary action within his jurisdiction as per the party constitution. NPCC vice president Nillo Rengma, in a statement, said KDCC president was authorized under Article XXVI (c) of the party constitution to take disciplinary action against the four KDCC members reportedly involved in destroying ballot boxes during NPCC polling on September 17. The party considered such act as “grievous crime of highest degree” against party organization, Nillo said and added NPCC stood by the constitutional action of KDCC. Attempts at leveling allegations not related to the issue were uncalled for and both MLA C. Apok Jamir and KDCC president Prasielie Pienyü had acted as authorized leaders on the matter, Nillo said. He further urged upon all not to personalize the issue and cautioned against issuing such alleging statements in future.
