‘Talent Voice Hunt 2010’
TUENSANG: ‘Talent Voice Hunt 2010’ on the theme ‘Aspiring Choice’ organized by Ajaeai society will be held on October 1 at town hall Tuensang. The show will be graced by Pfukiya Kaith, Block Development Officer, Thonoknyu as chief guest. More than 25 participants from across the district will take part in various shows including, dances, freestyles, vocal competition etc.
Water supply affected in Purana bazar
DIMAPUR: PHED underground pipe has been damaged thereby hampering water supply to consumers of Purana Bazar. In this regard, PHED has informed that repairing of pipe was in progress and appealed consumers to bear with the department.
PFPSD meeting at Pungro town
TUENSANG: Public Forum Pungro sub-division has convened a division meeting on October 5 at 9 am at council hall Pungro town. According to president, Public Forum Pungro sub-division, S. Kiusumew Yimchungru the meeting would deliberate on Saramati Region of (NSCN IM). It further informed Tosangchu, Mimi village, Tsulimthong Zanger village and Kiusangthong Chomi village to attend the meeting. PFPSD has also invited five council representatives from each village and YTC, YAA, YWO, PACSU, PATC and public leaders under Pungro sub- division including Yimchungru Region of IM Civil staff from the rank of leacy and above to attend the meeting.
RTI workshop at Phek
DIMAPUR: DC Phek has informed all departments PIO and APIO and NGOs within Phek district to attend workshop on RTI 2005 on October 6 at 11 a.m. in the DPDB Conference Hall.
OCM Club House inauguration deferred
DIMAPUR: Due to unavoidable reasons, the proposed inauguration of Club House of Officers Club Mokokchung (OCM) scheduled on October 1 has been re-scheduled on October 5, at 5 pm at DC’s residential complex, Mokokchung. All members have been requested to be present.
CCK to visit Old Age Home, Kohima
DIMAPUR: Classic Club Kohima (CCK) will visit Old Age Home, Kohima in commemoration of its 16th foundation day on October 2 at 1pm. All Club members have been requested to attend the function.
State BJP inform office bearers
DIMAPUR: BJP Nagaland state unit has informed all state office bearers, district presidents, frontals organisation heads along with the state executive members to submit proper address along with contact number to the office secretary at 03862 232548 or e-mail at [email protected] on or before October 8.
Global University exam form submission
DIMAPUR: All students of Global Open University, Nagaland have been informed to collect their examination forms and routine from their respective study campuses for December 2010 examination to be held from December 21 to 31. The last date of submission of examination form would be November 30 and no examination forms be entertained after the last date.
LCTO cultural festival
KOHIMA: The 7th cultural festival of Leshemi Cultural and Traditional Organization (LCTO) will be held on December 27 and 28. Statistical and membership fee would be collected by the respective union/youth and represent executives on or before November 2010. All members have also been informed that traditional attire would be compulsory for every member during the festival.
DBA general meeting
DIMAPUR: Dimapur bar association (DBA) has convened its last general meeting on October 1, 1:30 pm at Dimapur bar association building Dimapur. DBA president has informed that election of new office bearers for the tenure Sept 2010 to Sept 2012 would be held in the meeting.
Tuensang DPDB meeting
DIMAPUR: The monthly meeting of district planning development board (DPDB) meeting for the month of October for Tuensang district has been postponed to October 26 on account of road show cum Tsokum festival at Noklak on October 5 and 6. All the DPDB members have been requested to attend the meeting.
KBC pastors conference
DIMAPUR: The 50th years golden jubilee celebration of Kyong Baptist Churches (KBC) pastors conference would be held on October 16 and 17 at Wokha town Baptist Church on the theme ‘A year of liberation’ (Leviticus 25:10). Rev Dr E Nrio Ezung, executive secretary KBES, Rev Dr Ezamo Murry, professor ETC Jorhat and Rev Rhyutsemo Ngullie, pastor Tsungiki would be the speakers of jubilee. The jubilee monolith would be unveiled by Rev Dr E Nrio Ezung at KBES mission centre Vankhosung on October 16 at 2 pm. All pastors, associate pastors, assistant pastors have been requested to attend the jubilee celebration.
CTC fixes rate of daily wage labourer
DIMAPUR: Chumukedima town council (CTC) have approved the rates of daily labour wage, loading and unloading charge fixed by the sub committee formed by the Chumukedima town council, (town trip) truck `600, medium truck `450, mini truck `300, van pickup ` 250, auto carrier (tempo) ` 200, auto mini ` 150 and horse cart ` 50, (labourers, per day wages) mason `250 skilled, ` 170 semi skilled, ` 150 jugali and ` 130 women and semi adults, (carpenter) ` 300 skilled and ` 150 jugali, (general) ` 150 men and ` 130 women, (loading and unloading) lobour charges, sand ` 300 per 200cfts, stone chippings ` 300 per 200 cfts, sand gravels ` 300 per 200 cfts and boulders ` 300 per 200 cfts, (bricks) `150 per 1000 nos.
Lost and found
DIMAPUR: One local truck B/Regd No NL04 A 4618 was recovered abandoned from Thakekhu village area. Rightful owner have been requested to claim by producing original documents at sub-urban police station, Dimapur.
Farmers training at Tesen circle
DIMAPUR: ATMA Tening block organized training on potato cultivation and piggery farming for Tesen circle on September 27. AO & BTT convener Tening block R. Tseibu and senior VFA & BTT member Aretbo were the resource persons who apprised participants on the prospects of TPS technology for potato cultivation, and prospects of pig rearing, piggery farming techniques, prevention and control of diseases.
Farmer scientist interaction at Peren
DIMAPUR: ATMA Peren district conducted a one day farmer scientist interaction on September 28 at Peren town council hall. Resource persons ATMA PD & SDFO Jalukie Amenla, BTT conveners Dr. Rokozo, R. Tseibu and Zieleigai highlighted on various topics under agriculture and horticulture, livestock management, fishery pond management etc. A total of 32 participants from all blocks in the district participated in the programme.
