15 students placed under Taj group of hotels

The Global Open University of Nagaland (TGOUN) on Saturday conducted its annual social with parliamentary secretary Industries and commerce Dr. K. C. Nihoshe as chief guest. A total of 15 students who were placed with Taj group of hotels were also presented with mementos and appointment letter by the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering at the function, chief guest Dr. K. C. Nihoshe underscored the importance of punctuality and discipline among the students. Lauding the graduating class for getting placement in one of the best hotel groups in the country, Nihoshe also added that the government was seriously considering on exploring huge human resource in the service sector. Elucidating on the topic of failure, the chief guest said that there are two types of failure. In the first instance, Nihoshe said a person does not think and act while in the second a person thinks but does not act upon it.
Maintaining that hotel management sector was not an easy task, Dr. Nihoshe urged the students to think and act while carrying out their work. He also impressed upon them that only inner quality will reflect on outer appearance.
It may be added that the 15 students are the first batch of TGOUN hotel management course managed to get placement in various capacities such as house keeping, food and beverages, ‘front office’ and food production across Taj group of hotels.
