4 highway extortionists arrested in Tuensang

Four extortionists were arrested on Thursday along NH-155 at around 7 pm between Angangba village and Helipong village some 16 kms away from Tuensang.
Tuensang police consisting of RHQ, DEF and SDF on Thursday said the four arrested were allegedly extorting money from passing vehicles.
According to police, the four has been identified as SS. Hopung Chingmak FGN asistant general secretary of Chang Region, son of late Chaio Chang of Chingmei village; SS. Yimle Chang FGN Sergeant Major, son of Nashu Chang of Yali village; SS. Pvt. FGN Bendang Chang son of Yangba of Yimrep village; and SS. Pukoi Khiam Pvt FGN son of Chingkong Khiam of Pushou village.
They were arrested by the police after receiving reports that certain amount of money were being collected from trucks passing along NH-155.
In this connection, a case has been registered under Tuensang police station case No. 19/10, U/S 384 IPC and investigation was on at the time of filing this report.
