Amonth long cataract operation camp conducted at district hospital, Dimapur in commemoration of 25th national eye donation fortnight concluded on September 30. According to a press statement, all together 82 cataract cases were operated with IOL implantation and one patient from Blind School Dimapur was also operated with restoration of vision. 52 per cent women benefited from the camp.
Meanwhile, district nodal officer (NPCB), Dimapur has expressed gratitude to directorate family welfare for permitting Dr. Asonla, eye surgeon Tuensang to help during the camp; Dr. Sukhato, medical superintendent Dimapur and Dr. Yankho Lotha, medical superintendent Tuensang for extending help and cooperation towards the camp. It also thanked the nurses, ophthalmic assistant, attendants and helpers for their sincere service provided during the camp
