DoNER minister for NPCC election

Set against the backdrop of factionalism, infighting that culminated in hooliganism at the September 17 which halted elections, the Congress high command has taken serious note of the internal crisis by naming union minister for DoNER Bijoy Kumar Handique as the Central Observer for the October 6 election in Kohima.
According to party insiders, the high command apparently has taken alleged threats both from within and outside the Congress party with due seriousness and want to complete the process so that the new team set the house in order.
Meanwhile, the sources also revealed the supporter for each of the cntenders- S.I.Jamir and I.Imkong in the run up to the October 6 election.
