Parliamentary secretary for geology and mining, irrigation and flood control and border affairs Y. Patton inaugurated the newly constructed sub-center at Longsachung village on October 1.
In his inaugural speech, Patton appreciated the department of health and family welfare in general and Dr. N.M. Kithan and Dr. W.N Ezung, CMO and Dy CMO, Wokha in particular for taking initiative to reach out infrastructural development in rural areas of Wokha district.
He also called upon medical staff and employees in the village to be regular in their duties, adding developing infrastructure alone without any service rendered by the employees would be meaningless.
DC, Wokha in his exhortation message said health service was an essential service to humanity with the old ‘Service to man is service to God’ and called on the staff of the health center to render their best services for the people. He also called upon the villagers to co-operative with the staff so as to create congenial atmosphere in the village.
A host of elders, government officials and party workers accompanied the parliamentary secretary.
Earlier the function was chaired by Dr. N.M. Kithan, CMO, Wokha and i9nvocation prayer by Rev. K.N. Shitiri, Pastor, LBC.
Village chairman N. Longidang, Yimkha, Okheyan, Yanthamo, ex- chairman of Okheyan Thungyamo, NRSU president, Rev. Sulumo Ezung, LVHC chairman and Dr. W.N. Ezung, Dy. CMO, Wokha also spoke in the function.
