GHSS colony Wokha repairs road

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2 the colony members of government higher secondary school (GHSS) colony Wokha repaired the main road leading from NH 61 to three main institutions namely government higher secondary school, Bailey College and Dr Motsuo Memorial hospital, (district Hospital) Wokha, where about 100 vehicles ply everyday making it the busiest road in the town.
GHSS colony council chairman Yanpothung Kikon has thanked all members of the colony who rendered selfless service for the welfare Wokha citizens.
It also thanked Y. Zarenthung Kikon (SDE) BSNL Wokha, T. Benathung Humtsoe Wokha town council, advisory board chairman and Thungchibemo Kikon member Wokha town council for contributing financially and materially.
The social work was sponsored by GHSS council members and colony vehicle owners. Members present for the social work were paid wages for the day.
W. Nchemo Humtsoe, vice chairman of GHSS colony thanked individuals and colony members for their tireless effort for the success of the social work and also urged the authority to extend financial aid to GHSS colony council so as to enable them to take up such work in the near future.
