The two day health mela coinciding with the Noklak road show cum Tsokum festival began on October 4. The mela was inaugurated by soil and water conservation and land resources development minister, P. Longon.
The first day of the health mela saw a large number of people from all walks of life. Patients from far flung villages in and around Noklak visited the mela.
The health mela included doctors from ENT, dental, ophthalmic, gynaecology and general. Free medicines and immunisation are also being given. There is also a lab test for malaria and typhoid.
The chairperson for the inauguration was additional deputy commissioner Noklak, Vikishe Sema, KBCA executive secretary Reverend Pinglang offered the dedicatory prayer. The health mela would continue till October 5.
