Now, job seekers living in North east India will be able to get online registration with prospective employers worldwide which will eventually lead to employment.
For the first time in the region, the “North East Job Portal (WWW.NEJOBS.IN)” was launched by Manipur Education minister L Jayentakumar Thursday in a formal function held at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.
The portal will bridge the gap through online registration between job seekers living in the region and prospective employers worldwide, the Executive Committee of the portal said.
“We convey our pleasure to the people of the North East India that our Software Technology Park Unit (Capital Information Technology Park) has successfully designed and developed a North East India job portal- WWW, NEJOBS.IN for the first time in the North East India,” the executive committee member said.
He further said that the main objective of this portal is to provide a perfect platform for employment in North East India and that the jobs are categorized into multilevel categories for convenient browsing, front page display for job categories, front page featured jobs and latest jobs, etc. Job category ordering can be configured by the admin or can be set as alphabetic.
Employers need to register in order to get privileges provided and should provide legal documents in support of his/her firm to post jobs. After a job has been posted, it will be evaluated if any wrong information has been posted or not.
Further, job seekers need to register too to apply those published jobs. An active job seeker can send a job description through email to anyone and can view the status of an applied job.
