Workshop on RTI Act at Meluri
DIMAPUR: In continuation with the celebration of Right to information (RTI) week from October 5-12 a workshop would be conducted on October 8 at Meluri.
All PIO’s, APIO’s NGO’ and head assistants of offices under Meluri sub-division have been informed to attend the workshop.
Meanwhile, an essay competition will be held for college and higher secondary students on October 12 at Phek headquarter in district planing development board conference hall, for which entries have been invited.
Golden jubilee core meeting
KOHIMA: A meeting of the golden jubilee core committee members of St. Peter’s Catholic Church Old Riphyim village will be held on October 16 at 9am at the private residence of Tsumongo Anthony Ngullie, SDO PWD (R&B) at lower NST colony, Wokha.
Sensitization prog on MDM
Kohima: A one day sensitization programme on mid-day meal (MDM) will be held on October 12 at 10:30 am at EBRC, L. Khel Kohima. All head teachers, teacher in-charge and VEC chairmen under DIS Kohima jurisdiction have been asked to attend the programme. Resource persons during the programme will be Zaveyi Nyekha, DEO Kohima and Dr. Zase Chusi, additional project director RMSA.
Pilgrim School triumph in signature campaign
DIMAPUR: Special Olympics Bharat- Nagaland: Special Olympics Bharat- Nagaland has expressed gratitude to all those schools and volunteers who participated in the signature campaign to ban the use of ‘R-word’. In the competition, Pilgrim School, Dimapur gave the highest number of signatures. In this regard, a teacher and a student will be attending a prize distribution ceremony at Bangalore to be grace by Akshay Kumar, actor and brand ambassador of Special Olympics Bharat.
Documents for ‘Excellency award’
DIMAPUR: Ao Students’ Union Dimapur (ASUD) would be collecting necessary documents for ‘Excellency award’ on October 9 from 1pm to 4pm at the residence of AKTD treasurer. All village units affiliated to ASUD have been informed to submit the documents within the stipulated time.
LSU emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Lamhailui Students Union (LSU) has convened an emergency meeting on October 9, 9 am at Lamhai and Dungki village council hall. The union has invited its former students’ union leader, Lamhainlui officers and elderly intellectual leaders to its emergency meet. The meeting will focus special attention to the welfare of the students’ community. Therefore existing student leaders and key leaders of Lamhailui have been invited to participate in the meeting.
DIMAPUR: Meeting of NCRC Sumi Kulolau Lhothemi Kuposhukulu (SKLK) has been convened on October 9, 10 am at its banker’s residence at Dimapur. All advisors, youth office bearers and youth leaders under Ayinato Center have been informed to attend the meeting.
AASU meeting
DIMAPUR: Aghunaqa Area Students’ Union (AASU) has convened a meeting on October 9, 10 am at Yetoho village. All executive and advisory board members of the union have been requested to attend the meeting.
State BJYM meeting
DIMAPUR: BJYM Nagaland state unit has convened an emergency meeting on October 9, 11 am at state BJP office, Naga Shopping Arcade Dimapur. All office bearers including national executive member have been requested to attend the meeting. Meanwhile, BJYM Nagaland has expressed gratitude to BJYM national president Anrug Thakur (MP) for appointing Pramod Singh as national executive member from Nagaland and also as in-charge of Meghalaya state.
LVSU meeting
DIMAPUR: Meeting of Lotsu Village Students’ Union (LVSU) has been convened on October 21, 11am at the residence of its secretary, Duncan Basti Dimapur. All office bearers and jubilee committee conveners have been requested to attend the meeting.
DIMAPUR: Meeting of Changsu Yanhtan Tsolo Hapoe Yanpyia Eyiden Okha Dimapur (CYLTHYEOD) has been convened on October 9, 8 am at the residence of its president Zumchilo Pattom (Dr. Andrew Patton) Mt. View colony Purana Bazar near Lotha Church. All members have been informed to attend the meeting with their spouse.
IEM seminar and convention
DIMAPUR: Mission seminar of Indian Evangelical Mission (IEM) would be held on October 9 and 10 at Mon town and would be hosted by Baptist Union Mon Town. Further, 45th IEM national convention would be held at Pyndengumiong Presbyterian Church Mairang town, West Khasi Hills, Meghalaya from October 28 -31.
Children evangelist rally
DIMAPUR: Department of Christian Education SBAK Nito Mount would be organizing children evangelistic rally on the theme “Do not hinder them…Mt19:14” on October 15 and 16 at public ground Zunheboto. DIS Niuland Kitoli Naje, section officer finance department Yeputho would be chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
UBC Peren revival crusade
DIMAPUR: Three day revival crusade-cum-healing service on the theme ‘Renew us Oh! Lord’ would be organized by Union Baptist Church Peren from October 15. Pr. Ketou of Cross Wonder Church Peren Kohima would be the main speaker.
ANCSU by-election postponed
DIMAPUR: By-election of All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) scheduled on October 8 has been postponed to October 13, 11 am owing to unavoidable circumstances. All units have been reminded to send two representatives each with ID card.
KLRSU executive meeting
DIMAPUR: Executive meeting of Kyong Lower Range Students’ Union (KLRSU) has been convened on October 10, 2 pm at the residence of Abemo Lotha secretary education and statistical, KLRSU Lotha colony, Dimapur.
MSU freshers’ day
DIMAPUR: Mao Students’ Union (MSU) would be organizing freshers’ day-cum- annual meet on October 9, 10 am at AIDA training centre, Don Bosco School Dimapur, with Lohrü Adani general manager, Exotic Juices Ltd. as the chief guest.
UBC youth programme
DIMAPUR: Union Baptist Church (UBC) Kohima youth department would be organizing “Great and awesome God” featuring ‘Sanctuary choir’ on October 8 and ‘Bands and dance’ on October 9 at 4:30 p.m. Youth department has invited all to attend the programme and informed that free will offering would be collected.
YCD meeting
DIMAPUR: Meeting of Yehemi Community Dimapur (YCD) has been convened on October 10, 2 p.m. at the residence of its banker Vihoto, Purana Bazar.
Counting votes for ‘song of the year’
DIMAPUR: Counting of votes for ‘The Letter Age song of the year’ award of second music video awards of Nagaland would be held on October 8 at DC court from 10 am. Results will be declared on October 15 at IMC hall from 5 pm onwards.
WSBAK council meeting
DIMAPUR: Council meeting of WSBAK has been convened on October 9, 9 a.m. at Akuvuto. All council members have been informed to attend the meeting.
Joint effort to check social evil in Kohima
KOHIMA: New Ministers’ Hill Panchayat and the Leiriechazou Panchayat under Ward 16, KMC Kohima, has joined hands to check all social evil elements prevailing in the colonies mostly by outsiders indulging in drugs, alcohol etc.
The panchayats have assigned colony youth to conduct round the clock duty within the two jurisdictions and take necessary action or report to the police.
The panchayats also warned that vehicle numbers with photographs of defaulters would be published in local dailies without prior notice.
