USU condemns hit and run case

The Usutomi Students’ Union has condemned the killing of its former vice president, Atovi Kiho by one Shekuto Kheso of Phek village. The union in a press release mentioned that the deceased and his sister-in-law were traveling by scooter when the speeding Scorpio bearing registration no.NL-07-4710 hit them. Atovi Kiho died on the spot and the lady sustained head and other injuries.
In this regard, the union appealed to the authority to award befitting punishment to the accused and also cautioned that in the event of release or concealment of the case, the union would further appeal to the higher authority.
The union also thanked the driver of a Santro car who helped in recovering the deceased’s vehicle, and further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
