78 Bn CRPF organizes trg for women

78 Bn CRPF, Zubza, Kohima organized 10 day training programme on women tailoring from September 20 at Panchayat Hall, Sechu Zubza with the trained instructors from Little Flower tailoring training Centre, Lerie Hill, Kohima. The training programme was attended by selected 30 ladies from the villages of Sechu (Zubza), Peducha, Mezoma, Kiruphema and Jotsoma.
Another training programme on food preservation was also organized from September 23 to 30. The training programme on food preservation was led by instructors of Horticultural department, Medziphema villages Khonoma, Sechu, Sechuma, Jotsoma and Mezoma availed the training programme. Closing ceremony was held on October 30 at Panchayat Hall, Sechu Zubza village.
The function was started with the welcome speech of P.M.Rejimon, Asstt. Comdt 78 Bn CRPF. Director horticultural department, Medziphema Dr. Akali Sema, and Sister Rosily graced the occasion as the chief guests and Arun Jha, Dy. Comdt, the officiating Commandant of 78 Bn CRPF chaired the function, which was also attended by various prominent people like village Chairmans, GBs, Officials of various department, local organizations and village people etc. The Chairman, Sechu Nieko Sechu had attended the function as special guests.
Speaking at the function as the chief guest, Akali Sema appreciated the vigorous efforts made by 78 Bn CRPF to organize the training programme of food preservation which would be beneficial to the trainers in their day to day life. She also gave a brief introduction on the history food and its preservation and advised the trainers to use the knowledge to acquire the maximum benefit.
During this occasion, Sister Rosily, in-charge Little Flower Training Centre, Lerie Hill, another Chief Guest of the function invoked the God’s blessing to all and presented sewing machines to the village representatives of Sechu (Zubza), Sechuma, Peducha, Kiruphema and Jotsoma villages on behalf of 78 Bn CRPF. Dy. Comdt. Arun Jha, the officiating Commandant of 78 Bn CRPF in his brief speech had thanked all for their sound co-operation. Further he talked at length on various activities conducted by 78 Bn CRPF since its interception during 2007.
