Eco-tourism in Mithun rearing areas

MLA and principal secretary, ministry of tourism, Yitachu accompanied by advisor, Nagaland Bamboo Development Authority (NBDA), Temjen Jamir, visited the national research centre on Mithun (ICAR), Governmenrt of India, Medziphema, on October 7.
The two officials during their visit interacted with Dr. Chandan Rajkhowa, director and other scientists of the institute. Detailed discussion was also held on the scope of developing Mithun rearing areas of Nagaland as eco-tourism spots.
Yitachu expressed happiness on the commendable job performed by the scientists of this institute in the field of Mithun husbandry. He also articulated that the people of Nagaland have been benefiting from the research work on Mithun carried out by the institute in various scientific disciplines.
