Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC), in execution of I.N.C constitution and for breach of discipline and “deliberately acting in a way to lower the prestige of the Congress”, has issued show cause notice to four of its members.
The notice has asked the responsible members to explain why disciplinary action should not be taken against them for disrupting “peaceful process” of PCC election September 17 last by forcibly entering the polling booth and destroying the ballot boxes and paper and also snatching away ballots boxes. Issuing a 14-day show cause notice to four members, the KDCC president Prasielie Pienyii, in a statement, said individual reply to the show cause notice would come into force from October 8.
The members, who were issued show cause notice, include representative of 9th Kohima Town ACCC to Kohima DCC (G.B. Jail Colony Kohima Town) Aba Kuotsu, ACCC 10th Northern Angami-1 A/C president Dr. Sadikuolie Khezhie, representative of 10th Northern Angami ACCC to Kohima DCC Ruokuoneisa Chielie a.k.a Abe and assistant returning officer to 8th Western Angami ACCC for organizational election Neisakuolie Belho.
It may be recalled the KDCC, at its meeting September 30, had reaffirmed to take disciplinary action against the four for “senseless disruption of the polling process” and bringing disgrace to the party at large.
