Naga missionary conference
DIMAPUR: The three day 2nd Naga missionary conference would begin from November 18 at Dimapur Ao Baptist church (DABA). All Naga missionaries, mission secretaries, directors of NBCC associations and three delegates of each NBCC church, pastor, mission board members and deacon have been informed to attend the meeting.
KEU fellowship
DIMAPUR: Kohima Emlotomi Union (KEU) has convened a fellowship cum meeting on October 10, 12:30 pm at the residence of Botovi Chishi, Nagabazar colony Kohima. All executives and members have been requested to attend the meeting.
GB’s union Dimapur emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Emergency meeting of four units GB leaders under Dimapur district has been convened on October 11, 10 am at Sadar GB office, Dimapur. According to chairman of GBs union Pukuole Angami, the meeting would discuss on matters pertaining to NGBF selection of new office bearers. All four units GBs presidents, secretaries and executive members under DDGBA have been informed to attend the meeting.
School of science PG exam
DIMAPUR: School of science PG examination (2nd and 4th semester) at Lumami headquarters would commence on October 11. Dean of school of science Prof N.S Jamir informed that practical exam for the department of chemistry has been postponed by one week and date for examination would be notified shortly.
YAWD informs
DIMAPUR: The youth association of Wokha district (YAWD) has informed all merit students under Wokha district of Class-X, HSSLC, BA, B.Com, B. Sc (arts, commerce and science) to submit a photocopy of mark-sheet to office bearers or send it to C/o Shanpan and Sona, Wokha, near taxi stand Wokha on or before October 16. Physical verification of life and family pensioners
DIMAPUR: Physical verification of life and family pensioners of Peren treasury would be conducted on October 20 and 21. All pensioners drawing pension pay from Peren treasury have been requested to report at 10am.
AUD emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Asukhomi union Dimapur (AUD) has convened an emergency meeting on October 10, 2 pm at the residence of Dolovi Sema, united colony behind Hotel Saramati. All office bearers, executive members, advisors and senior members have been requested to attend the meeting.
PVSU 3rd sitting
DIMAPUR: Pangti village student union (PVSU) has convened its 3rd sitting on October 13, 1 pm at its union office at Pangti village. All the executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Sensitization training on MDM scheme
DIMAPUR: The deputy inspector of schools (DIS) Wokha has informed that 1day sensitization training programme on mid-day-meal for the head teacher, teacher in-charge, VEC, UEC, WEC and chairman would be held on October 12, 9:30 am at LTC hall Wokha. All SIS, head teachers, teacher in-charge and VEC chairman under its jurisdiction have been requested to attend the training.
Training on disaster management
DIMAPUR: Nagaland development outreach (NBCC) would be organizing training on disaster management on October 11, 10am at IMC Dimapur. Er Moa associate professor, disaster management cell, ATI Kohima and Dr. Hovithal Sothu, state coordinator, disaster management cell, ATI Kohima would be the resource persons.
Nagaland GB federation general session
DIMAPUR: Nagaland GB federation would hold its general session on October 14, 9am at town hall Dimapur. MLA Kijung Chang, advisor GBs, DBS&VGs would be the chief guest and additional chief secretary and commissioner Nagaland would be the guest of honour. Nagaland GB federation has informed district deputy commissioner to extend help to the GB associations for transportation and necessary expenses. Further, Nagaland GB federation has convened an executive meeting on October 13, 3pm at tourist lodge. All the executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Phom gazette officers
DIMAPUR: A special meeting of all Dimapur based Phom gazette officers will be held on Sunday at Circuit house from 2 pm. Therefore all members concerned have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.
Dr. Rilanthung new NF railway board member
DIMAPUR: Union railway minister Mamata Banerjee has appointed Dr. Rilanthung Odyuo former Lok Sabha candidate Nagaland parliamentary constituency as NF railway board member. Informing this in a press release, L.C Nyamongo Kikon election agent to Dr. Rilanthung Odyuo expressed hope that the leader would serve the people with determination. Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress Nagaland unit has expressed gratitude to union railway minister for appointing Dr. Rilanthung as NF railway board member.
ASU on LDA selection process
DIMAPUR: The Chare Area Students’ Union (CASU) has called for the selection board of LDA cum computer assistant in Tuensang district to be transparent and fair in the selection process. According to a release issued by CASU, general secretary, Thrikyuse Sangtam stated the appeal has been put forward so that qualified and confident students’ sentiments does not get hurt. The union further asked the board to display the marks obtained by the selected candidates.
MDM scheme sensitization
DIMAPUR: One day sensitization programme on mid-day meal (MDM) scheme was conducted on October 8 at Setshang hall Tuensang. The programme was attended by principals, headmaster, teacher in-charge, village education committee and ward education committee chairman from GHSS, GHS, GMS, GPS and DPRO staff including representative from directorate of school education attended the programme. The programme was presided over by SIS Chemyang Chang, Chopongse Sangtam SIS delivered the welcome address, key note address and power point presentation by DIS K. Limhathung Odyuo, while SIS Yongsen Chang proposed the vote of thanks.
Kohima block VDB exposure trip to Nepal
KOHIMA: In connection with the state government’s programme on “Year of Entrepreneur” the R. D. Block Kohima VDB union organized one week exposure trip to Gauwhati and Kathmandu (Nepal) from October 11. BDO Kohima, P. Koza informed that 64 member, three from each VDB comprising village council chairman, women VDB representatives and VDB secretaries would be undertaking the tour to study on adoption of double cropping system and find market values sources.
