Rest house, office for geology & mining

Parliamentary Secretary of Geology and Mining, Irrigation and Flood Control, Yanthungo Patton on Thursday called upon the people to cooperate with ruling NPF led DAN government to bring about further development in the State.
“NPF led DAN government is a performing government and there is no dispute among the legislators unlike the Congress party in Nagaland,” Y Patton said while addressing the inaugural function of a newly constructed field rest house cum office of Geology and Mining Department at Merapani.
Pointing out that Wokha district was endowed with rich petroleum resources, Patton said the government would soon work out modalities for extraction of the resources which would benefit the State in general.
Y Patton also dismissed the popular speculation over stalling of budget allocation for the State by the ruling Congress at the centre, saying Nagaland received the highest budget allocation this year.
On the newly constructed building, Patton urged the people take care of the properties given by the government and to nurture for the general well being. Commenting on the representation which was submitted by the village council, Y Patton assured to take up the construction of approach road from CRPF camp to the village and to construct deep bore well in the next work programme.
Earlier, Parliamentary Secretary of Home Guards, Fire Services and Jail, Er. W Kithan also inaugurated the Rest House of the Border Affairs Department.
The newly constructed Field Rest House cum Office was constructed under 2008-09 work programme of the Geology and Mining at the cost of `23.7 lakhs. Director of Geology and Mining, HK Chishi, presented brief report of the new building.
