Kyong textile exhibition

Renchen Women Welfare Society (RWWS), Wokha, would be organizing exhibition on old Lotha (Kyong) Naga textile and patterns on November 6 at Wokha, local football ground. The exhibition aimed on disseminating awareness, revival and popularization of old designs and patterns would display samples from the period 1914-1947 during administration of British officials to Naga Hills such as, J H Hutton, J P Mills, E T D Lambert, Sir C R Pawsey and Sir Robert Reid.
The original textiles are preserved at the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford. These products were either gifted or purchased by British officers and in turn donated these to the museum.
