Replying to a notice served to the pattadars for payment of their respective land revenue tax within Industrial Village Razhüphe by DC, Maongwati Aier from November 2 to December 12, head village chief-cum-chairman of Industrial Village Razhüphe, Dimapur T.L. Angami said that the area never fell within the “so called cadastral area” in Dimapur.
The chairman in press handout, claimed that DC Dimapur had issued hundreds of Jamabandis, pattas or patta books to the individuals, groups, parties or agencies within Industrial Village Razhüphe, Dimapur, thereby violating the Government ban order on allotment of land No.LR/2-21/88 dated 26th Oct 1992 as well as the order of the Guwahati High Court dated 10th March 2005 respectively.
Pointing out that the DC had issued the same to hundreds of land-holders within the said village without any colour of authority, the chairman said the village council of Industrial Village Razhüphe will not accept the issue of such Jamabandis, pattas or patta books. It further cautioned individuals, groups, parties and agencies who obtain/collect patta books within the said village from DC Dimapur, that the village council would not count it as legal documents “according to law”.
