NH-39 partially opened

Kohima police Thursday informed that National Highway-39, via KMC dumping zone has been opened for light vehicles with immediate effect. In a press release, the Kohima police PRO Melite Kapfo, however, said the traffic would be opened only during non-working hours of the Border Road Organisation (BRO) i.e. between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. At the same time, the public has also been informed that during working hours i.e. between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., the landslide area would be a “No Entry” zone so as to enable BRO to repair the stretch soon. Further, the police has requested all commuters, particularly the VIPs and government officials attending offices at New Secretariat area, to ply Naga Bazaar link road (Naga Hospital Jn. to Tinpatti Jn.) so as to ease the traffic congestion in the Kohima town.
