Farmers’ clubs orientation at Urra village

Inauguration-cum-base-level orientation programme for six farmers clubs was held on November 2.
The six villages included Disagaphu, Hazadisa, Manglumukh, Razaphe, Urra, and Videma formed under the initiative of Prodigals’ Home and supported by Nagaland State Cooperative Bank & NABARD was held at Urra Village Community Hall under Dhansiripar Block on November 2. In the programme, M.K. Mandal, DGM, NABARD explained the importance of farmers’ club as a forum for ushering in various developments for farmers.
Mandal said farmers’ club was also instrumental in bridging information gap between farmers and various government departments, universities and research institutes.
Other officials who exhorted the farmers were Dr. Hoito from veterinary department, Dr. Bendanglila from Agri department, Sumer, manager Lead Bank SBI, Lalan Doungel, general manager, NSCB and Ningsangwaba, senior branch manager, NSCB Main Branch. Altogether, 87 farmers attended the program.
