Singh to flag off ‘Ride in Paradise’

The much awaited North East Rider’s Meet (NERM) 2010 is all set to begin on November 9 with over 100 riders from 19 clubs across the country, having reached Guwahati.
Governor of Arunachal Pradesh General J.J. Singh would flag off the riders on November 20 for their seven day- 1300 kms epic ride to Mechukha. The ride would pass through Ziro, Daporijo, Along and Mechukha and is poised to be a major tourism promoter as the riders from all over the country are expected to attend.
Meanwhile, Afflatus, the internationally acclaimed, all girl band from Shillong would play in an open concert in honour of the ‘Ride In Paradise’. Grace Miller, the lead vocalist of the band shared that the band is excited to play at the NERM 2010.
Also, the highpoint of the motorcycle ride would be the participation of the riders in the Borders Areas Cultural Festival 2010 to be held from Novemner 13 to14 in Mechukha with all the five major tribes of the Mechukha sub-division participating in the festival. The guest riders are expected to get a glimpse of the diversity of Arunachal tribes.
