Peren district planning & development board (DPDB) meeting for the month of October was held on October 29. Deputy commissioner and vice chairman DPDB Peren, Khrienuo C. Metha chaired the meeting.
In the meeting, power point presentation on the activities of NEPED in Nagaland was presented by NEPED members, stated an official bulletin.
Interacting with the NEPED officials, DC Peren expressed dissatisfaction on implementation of NEPED scheme in Peren district and urged them to do better in the future.
Reviewing its last meeting agenda, DPDB assigned SDO (C) Tening and EE PHED Peren to draft MoU with the land owners of waste source and to submit the same in the next DPDB meeting.
Deliberating new agendas, the board constituted LADP verification committee for 6 Tening A/C. The house also deliberated on the representations submitted by villagers of Nsoang and Tening area to DC Peren regarding upgradation of SDO (C) headquarter Tening to ADC headquarters; upgradation of police outpost Tening to police station; establishment of police outpost at Nsoang town; upgradation of PHC Tening to CHC; and upgradation of sub-centre Nsoang to PHC.
In this regard, the chairperson asked the responsible headquarter departments to initiate necessary actions with their higher authority for early action.
Earlier, the chairperson and DPO Peren also discussed with village chairman and GBs of Julukie valley, focusing on the need to control cattle during post harvest period to enable farmers to take up winter crops and multi-cultivation in the valley sector without hindrance.
