Church leaders trg at Assam Valley Baptist Mission

A two and half day leadership training for Church leaders under Assam Valley Baptist Mission (AVBM) was held at its headquarter at Nakachari from November 5 to 7.
Rev. Lima, Pastor, Kumlong Baptist Church and Rev. C. Temjen, Pastor Chungtiayimsen Baptist Church respectively were the resource persons in this training session. P. Akum Amer, Deacon and Saku Pongen, Secretary of Mission Board of Kumlong Baptist Church assisted in the training sessions.
The entire sessions were moving and spiritually enriching as the resource persons could reach out to the trainees by establishing one to one interaction.
Church administration and leadership, giving and worship, Christian living with other faiths were the main lessons taught in the session.
The Assam Valley Baptist Mission (AVBM) is a common Baptist Christian venture was initiated by about 28 Baptist Churches mostly independent Churches located in the district of Jorhat and bordering with Nagaland in the year 2005. The Mission has a total of 46 Churches till date.
The aim of the Mission is to help in spiritual growth of all the neighbouring Churches by uplifting true Christian living and to employ evangelists for nurturing the already planted but sick churches with a great theme “Go therefore and make disciples of all Nations”.
The mission is also looking forward to establish a residential junior school with Bible as a subject for its varied children under AVBM through the active partnership of any associations, Churches and individual volunteers as a stake holder.
Er. Temsu Wathi Ao, president of AVBM expressed gratitude to resource persons who had spared their valuable time in educating the members of its mission, Kumlong Baptist Church Mission Board for their kind gesture and financial support extended for this training.
Further, the AVBM also thanked all ranks and file of AVBM and well wishers including the Nakachari Ao Baptist Church members for their untiring support extended to organise this event at Nakachari.
The house also acknowledged people who wholeheartedly supported and prayer extended to the mission to organise the event by way of contributing in cash and in kind.
A total of 120 Church workers from 37 churches under the aegis of the AVBM participated in the program which was sponsored by the Mission Board of Kumlong, Baptist Church,Mokokchung.
