PDBAS invite contestants
KOHIMA: Peren District Beauty and Aesthetic Society (PDBAS) has informed all intending contestants for 6th Peren Beauty Pageant 2010 to report at Peren Town Circuit House on November 10 at 2pm.
Solar Space Heritage in Kohima
KOHIMA: A Solar Space Heritage Project at Civil Secretariat Kohima under taken by Nagaland State Designated Agency would be inaugurated by Doshehe Y. Sema, minister for power on November 9 at 1pm.
State BJP executive meeting
DIMAPUR: The 3rd state BJP executive meeting has been convened on November 16, 9am at its head office, Dimapur. The meeting would be attended by Rajen Gohain (MP), in-charge of Nagaland and Tapir Gao, former MP, Prabhari Nagaland along with P. Chandra Sekhar Raoji organization, in-charge of north east as chief guest and guest of honour. All state executive members (parent body) including only frontals head (president and convener), district president and general secretary have been requested to attend the meeting.
AHoDs, HoDs meeting
DIMAPUR: A meeting of all administrative heads of departments (AHoDs) and heads of departments (HoDs) has been convened on November 10, 2 pm at secretariat conference hall Kohima. Agendas to be discussed at the meeting would include arrangement for Republic Day 2011; Kohima town cleanliness drive- work allocation to various departments; review progress of implementation of annual plan 2010-11; speedy disposal of pension cases; follow-up action on CS’s conference at New Delhi; policy on UIDAI/NPR data base; and Agri Expo 2010. State chief secretary has informed all the AHoDs and HoDs to attend the meeting.
VCC, Peren emergency meet
DIMAPUR: All Village Council Chairmen (VCC) under Peren district have been informed that an emergency meeting of the union would be held on November 15, 10 am at Jalukie Town Council Hall. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Kohima DLSC meeting
DIMAPUR: In connection with rationalization of polling stations and ongoing special summary revision of electoral rolls, Kohima District Level Standing Committee meeting has been convened on November 10, 11 am at the conference hall of deputy commissioner, Kohima. All members have been requested to attend the meeting. Members or political parties have been informed to depute a representative in case of inability to attend.
‘National education day’ on Nov 11
DIMAPUR: Joint director, directorate of school education has informed all educational institutions to celebrate ‘National education day’ on November 11 in a befitting manner and submit the celebration report to the directorate of school education.
6-Tening A/C NPF executive meeting

DIMAPUR: Nagaland Sericulture technical staff association (NSTSA) has convened its 25th general conference on November 11, 11am at directorate of sericulture conference hall, Kohima. All technical members have been requested to attend the conference.
6th international diabetes conference deferred
DIMAPUR: Regional director, NEI, Indian council for diabetes care has informed that all affiliated NGOs’ under ICDC, NEI, particularly in Nagaland that the 6th international diabetes conference has been postponed to next year 2011.
Leadership training cum seminar
DIMAPUR: Nagaland GBs and DBs joint forum would be organizing leadership training cum seminar in Christian style by D. Yimsong missionary from Australia on November 10, 10 m at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur. All district forum district conveners, secretaries, presidents, secretaries of district GB/DB associations have been requested to attend the seminar.
State level PMEGP workshop deferred
DIMAPUR: Deputy director, S.O. KVIC Dimapur has informed all selected beneficiaries of PMEGP for the year 2010-2011, executive officers, Nagaland Khadi & VI board and general managers of DIC from eleven districts of Nagaland that the state level workshop on PMEGP have been postponed.
USU meeting
KOHIMA: The golden jubilee planning board members of Usutomi Students’ Union (USU) has convened a meeting on November 10, 10 am at the residence of Er. Kahoshe Shohe, PWD colony Kohima. All members have been asked to attend the meeting.

KOHIMA: CRC Bayavii Hill is organizing sales day on November 10 at High School Junction. During the sales day, various indigenous household ranging from vegetables, fruits, domestic tools, cookeries furniture, meat etc., will be on sale.
Kohima law College fresher social
KOHIMA: The 3rd fresher social 2010 of Kohima Law College, Kohima would be held on November 9, 10am at Ungma Kiti, opposite Hotel Cimorb, Old Minister Hill with K.V Pusa, MLA as chief guest.
ANAGTU general meeting
DIMAPUR: The all Nagaland adhoc graduate teachers’ union (ANAGTU) has convened a joint general meeting on November 13, 10 am at GHSS, Dimapur of all categories of teachers, GT, UGT, PT, AT, HT, DT etc., who underwent suitability test conducted by the DSE recently. Union has requested all its unit representatives to submit a membership fee of `200 to the union treasurer before the meeting.
Workshop on vegetable cultivation
KOHIMA: The two-day state level participatory workshop on vegetable cultivation for its village based SHGs facilitators would be conducted on November 10 and 11 at Agriculture conference hall Kohima (below AG’s office). Certified seeds will also be distributed to SHGS facilitators who are looking after 20-30 SHS in their respective village.
Tenyimi Union Tuensang annual gathering
DIMAPUR: The annual gathering-cum- picnic of Tenyimi Union Tuensang would be held on November 13 at the government high school, Kuthur village. All Tenyimi members posted and residing in Tuensang have been requested to reach the venue by 9am. CTC inform shops, firms
DIMAPUR: Chumukedima town council (CTC) has informed all the business firms/establishment to white wash and put Christmas star in their shops/firms on or before November 30.
Wokha DPDB meeting deferred
DIMAPUR: Monthly DPDB meeting of Wokha has been postponed to November 16, 11 am at deputy commissioner’s (DC) conference hall, Wokha.
DC Wokha and chairman DPDB, Rovilatuo Mor has informed all members to attend the meeting.
