Nature has enough for man’s need but never enough for his greed, opined M.C. Konyak, minister for Forest, Environment, Ecology & Wildlife and Excise, while gracing Green Foundation concert at Wokha on November 7. Stating that people endlessly abused nature and animals, the minister called for the need to protect nature and act for survival. He said that people needed to “do something” about the environment for the future generation and added that a balanced air has to be maintained.
He also asserted that the forefathers blended and signified folk songs and tales to that of the environment and wild animals living in harmony. Meanwhile, MC Konyak said DAN government has “ambitious plans” for protection and preservation of environment and wildlife and also informed the gathering that Mt. Tiyi at Wokha was under consideration for government programme. The minister further encouraged members of the Green Foundation to set example by creating awareness about environment protection and preservation to all the Naga people at large.
