In response to the question raised by one FGN (non-accordist), Hekhuvi Achumi ‘Midan Peyu- cum- deputy Lota Kilonser’, the NNC/FGN has appealed to the general public, civil societies and Hohos to know the fact and judge according to the historical background of the Nagas.
The FGN Sumi region reiterated that NNC have been the only recognized political institution in Nagaland and that there was no question of NNC/FGN ‘accordist’ or ‘non accordist’in the history of Nagas with Elli. Adinno Phizo as the president and FGN Kedahge, president, Gen. (Retd.) Viyalie Metha.
Regional Secretary Sumi region FGN, Betto Yepthomi and ‘Midan Peyu’ V. Attoka Zhimomi in a press statement said Brig (Retd.) Singnyu was elected as FGN Acting Kedahge (President) in the year 1997 and in 2000, re-elected as the Kedahge. The statement added that after completion of his tenure, (i.e.5 year), he tendered his resignation from the Presidentship of the FGN on February 28, 2005.
As per the Yehzabo of Nagaland Article No.23a(Amended), the statement said his resignation was formally accepted, and election for the Kedahge of FGN was conducted by the Tatar Hoho on March 2005, where Gen. (Retd) V. Metha was constitutionally elected as the Kedahge under the Yehzabo of Nagaland.
It also mentioned that Zhopra Vero was once an NNC Joint Secretary, but was dropped from the post of NNC joint secretary as well as from the post of Chakhesang Regional Presidentship on April 28, 2003, by a unanimous resolution of the joint meeting of NNC/ FGN joint meeting, due to breach of trust.
“It is therefore how such self interested persons with some defectors and followers could high-jack and theft away the Naga National Government for the interest of their power and financial benefit at the cost of peace, reconciliation, unity or unified group. It is purely self style, false and bogus, but only means to demand and extort money from others for self consumption” stated FGN Sumi region. .
FGN Sumi region cautioned the public to be aware of the confusion created by “such self style” Hekhuvi Achumi (BSF Retd,) claiming to be ‘Midan Peyu Dy. Lota Kilonser’ from Sumi Community.
Further, reacting to the press release published in some local dailies on November 6, ‘Midan Peyu’ V. Attoka Zhimomi clarified that Hekhuvi himself was the “producer of ghost cadres” knowing nothing about the Naga cause but to tarnish the image of the FGN.
