NPF Kohima meeting
KOHIMA: The NPF Kohima division has convened an executive meeting along with central office bearers’ team on November 18 at 10am at NPF central office Kohima. All area unit executive members have been asked to attend the meeting.
ASUK meeting
DIMAPUR: Emergency meeting of Ao Students Union (ASUK) has been convened on November 10, 2pm at the residence of its treasurer. All presidents of the federating units, executives and advisors of the union have been informed to attend the meeting.
Dmu pensioners meeting
DIMAPUR: Annual general meeting of Dimapur district pensioners, family pensioners have been convened on November 23, 10 am at Town Hall Dimapur, supermarket area.
SDJHSS annual day
DIMAPUR: SD Jain Higher Secondary School (SDJHSS) Dimapur would be observing its annual day on November 12, 10:30pm with Professor K. Kannan VC, Nagaland University as chief guest.
NTSA conference
DIMAPUR: Annual conference of Nagaland Taxation Service Association (NTSA) would be held on November 16, 10:30 am in the conference hall of commissioner of taxes Dimapur. Additional chief secretary and finance commissioner Toshi Aier, IAS would be the chief guest.
DTO on revenue collection
DIMAPUR: District Transport Officer (DTO) Dimapur has collected government revenue of `2 lakhs sixty three thousand by way of compounding fees. DTO informed that the compounded amount was collected during intermittent surprise checking conducted within Dimapur district.
Jail colony to conduct social work
DIMAPUR: Jail colony women organization would be organizing a mass social work on November 13 at 7am. All the shops located in the colony have been asked to remain closed till the work is completed. The organization further informed the residents of the colony to volunteer to clean up roads, foot paths and the surrounding.
Tenyimi Women’s Union Dimapur meet
DIMAPUR: Tenyimi Women’s Union Dimapur (TWUD) has informed all Tenyimi women Tribal presidents of Dimapur to attend a meeting along with two members from each unit on November 13, 10am at the office of Tenyimi Union Dimapur near hotel Tragopan, Khermahal.
Fund for destitute women
DIMAPUR: Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) has informed all destitute women card holders to submit ID card to NWHD office at Naga Council Office Complex Dimapur between 10am to 3pm, and collect money/fund allotted for them.
USBKA to celebrate golden jubilee
DIMAPUR: United Sangtam Baptist churches association (USBKA) women department would be celebrating its golden jubilee from November 25-28 at Yangli mission centre on the theme ‘Equip to reach out’.
CTC cleanliness drive, social work
DIMAPUR: Chumukedima town council (CTC) would be organizing a mass cleanliness drive and social work on November 24, 6am to 10am. All business establishments/firms have been requested to remain closed till the completion of the social work and requested the public to participate in the social work.
Dimapur Bar Association new team
DIMAPUR: A new team of office bearers to the Dimapur Bar Association (DBA) was elected un-opposed for the tenure 2010-2012 headed by Imtidakba Imsong as president, Zhasakhoto Vüprü as vice president and Komuo Loso John as secretary. The handing over and taking over formalities was conducted on November 10.
NSCN/GPRN recovers Maruti Car 800
DIMAPUR: A silver-grey Maruti Car 800 cc model, bearing engine NO 2801171 chassis NO: 2408460 is under the custody of Dimapur Town Command. The car was found during routine check on November 8 along NH-39 between 3rd and 5th mile. Avi T. Chishi (MM) ‘2-i-c, Dimapur Town Command’ NSCN/GPRN has informed the rightful owner to claim the vehicle by verifying with necessary documents within seven days from the date of publication of this notice and to contact No: 9856238196 for further details.
ANSTA general conference
DIMAPUR: General conference of All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) would be held on November 18, 10 a.m at Zonal Council Hall Kohima with minister for school education and CSERT Nyeiwang Konyak as the chief guest.
NPF youth wing to tour constituencies
KOHIMA: Phek division NPF Youth Wing would be conducting tour to all constituency headquarters under Phek from November 24 till 27. The tour has been organised to strengthen the youth force under the theme ‘Unity is Strength.’ The team would visit Chozuba and Pfutsero on November 24, Chizami on November 25, Phek on November 26 and Meluri on November 27. All A/C office bearers have been asked to be present at their respective headquarters during the visit. Divisional youth wing office bearers have been asked to reach Kohima latest by November 23.
DIS Aghunato on GPF statement
DIMAPUR: Head teachers/teachers’ in-charge under DIS Aghunato have been informed to collect their respective staff annual GPF statement from November 15 to 19 during office hour or through proper authorized person duly signed by them.
DMC notifies on mobile tower permit
DIMAPUR: All mobile tower construction company/FC lying company erecting mobile towers and lying OFC under Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) jurisdiction without prior permission from the authority have been directed do the needful within 15 days from the date of this publication. CEO DMC Nikashe Sema in a notification added that failing to comply with the notice, defaulters would be penalized and necessary action would be initiated as per the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001.
Entrepreneurship training in Guwahati
DIMAPUR: The 5th batch of entrepreneurship short term training on entrepreneurship development programme will be held from November 15-26 at the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati, Assam.
Selected candidates of EAP from Mokokchung (Sl. No-22 to 26), Tuensang (Sl. No 21 to 25), Longleng (Sl. No 21 to 25), Dimapur (Sl.No 1 to 15) district have been informed to collect train tickets (to and fro) and bus fares from the officer-in-charge of district industries centre, Dimapur on November 13. Respective GMs have been requested to instruct the entrepreneurs to reach Dimapur on or before November 13 for onward journey to Guwahati in group.
Checking along Mokokchung NH; 16 held
MOKOKCHUNG: Excise department Mokokchung conducted checking/raiding of all liquor dens in the town and in around NH on November 8 and 10. The raid was conducted in order to curb sale and inflow of liquors in the district. In this connection, 16 persons were arrested and booked under relevant section of law while unserviceable seized articles were destroyed on the spot. SP excise and prohibition L. Wati Jamir called upon NGOs and all societies to extend cooperation in order to facilitate the Prohibition Act in the state and to create awareness amongst youngsters both in terms of law, impending dangers of evil effects of alcohol in the life of an individual and families.
Assorted IMFL destroyed in Peren
DIMAPUR: Around 2942 bottles of assorted liquor were destroyed in the court premises of civil judge junior Peren on November 9. According to Assistant Public Prosecutor, Peren, Temsunaro Jamir, the seizure was made during the month of August 2009 to October 2010, and related to various cases. The destruction committee was headed by Temsunaro Jamir, Assistant Public Prosecutor, Peren and destroyed in the presence of Phuleto Yeptho, civil judge junior, Peren. Meren Imsong SDO (C), K. Chuba Phom SDPO, Peren and representatives from NGOs such as Peren Town women organization, Peren Town Youth Organization and the Bridge club.
