Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SAKK) on Thursday organized “Harmonic Reflection,” an Aphuyemi youth ‘Musical Ensemble’ at State Academy Hall, Kohima.
Speaking at the programme as the chief guest, Kikheto Y. Sema, additional secretary, finance department (budget) called upon the youth to utilize God’s given talent to the optimum.
Sema said Nagas are blessed by God in many aspect and singing was one talent that Nagas have been richly endowed.
He stated that Nagas’ transition from head-hunting to civilization did not take long and attributed this to the blessing from God.
He called upon the present generation of youth to praise and extol the marvelous works on God in every aspect of life.
Lauding the SAKK for organizing the musical nite, the chief guest said that music can transform the lives of many people and added that people across the globe have been inspired and their lives changed through music.
SAKK president, in his short introductory speech, said the motive behind organizing such an event was to showcase the talents of the Sumi Aphuyemi youth and set a platform for them in their music career. He said that a band will be formed from among the artists that performed at the ‘Musical Ensemble’.
He thanked Vikheho Swu, former president NSF for donating the musical instruments and gadgets for the band.
Musicals ranging from solo performances, instrumentals and bands performed at the ensemble with the crowd cheering all throughout. ‘Nagas Got Talent’ 2010 winner Bokato Kiho enthralled the audience with his guitar presentation.
