LOC: Lotha and Oriental Colony (LOC) Dimapur organised and celebrated Tokhu Emong festival at the residence of Wobansao Shitiri, patron of the festival.
Superintendent of taxes, Shanchow Ovung spoke on the importance of ‘Tokhu Emong’. Convener, organizing committee, Renpi Odyuo has, meanwhile, acknowledged Lotha Hoho chairman, Ntsemo Ngullie and his collegues for participating during the festival.
KEEG: Tokhu Emong was celebrated in Guwahati on November 7 by Kyong Ekhae Ekhung (KEEG) and Kyong officers of Guwahati. Amid various cultural and traditional programmes, Kyong history was delivered by senior project appraisal officer HUDCO, Guwahati, while L.Myingthungo Yanthan, reminded the students on the origin and rich culture of the Kyongs.
Meanwhile, president Kyong Ekhae Ekhung Guwahati has expressed gratitude to all officers and guests of Guwahati for their help and participation in the programme.
Bayavü, Sepfüzou Lotha Ekhung: Bayavü and Sepfüzou Lotha Ekhung celebrated Tokhu Emong at the residence of Dr. Hathungo Kithan on November 6. During the event, Dr. Tokhuo Odyuo spoke on the significance of Tokhu Emong while Dr. Hathungo Kithan, joint director of V&AH exhorted the gathering.
Other highlights of the celebration include traditional songs by colony elders, Cucko cultural group and Yankho semi youth.
